During the first few weeks of school, the students and I will be discussing classroom rules and behaviors needed for success throughout our school year. Our main classroom rules will be the basis from which students earn positive and negative consequences for their behavior. When needed, classroom behavior will be monitored with a color chart in which students move sticks (clothespins) when making exceptionally good choices (move up) or when needing redirection from the teacher (move down). Every student begins a new day on green - Ready to Learn! Below is a rubric to use as a guide to know how your child is handling being a good citizen in the classroom. Parents will be contacted when reinforcement conversations and consequences are needed from home for the student to to be more successful.
